Coalitions

  • The Permian Basin Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (PBRCADA)  is located in Odessa and runs the Region 9 PRC, the Midessa Community Alliance Coalition, and two Youth Prevention programs (Impact Youth).

  • The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of the Concho Valley  (ADACCV)  is located in San Angelo and runs the Community Action and Resources for Empowerment and Success (CARES) Coalition and three Youth Prevention programs.

Midessa Community Alliance Coalition

The mission of the Midessa Community Alliance Coalition (MCAC) is to create community awareness, regarding the health consequences of substance use, with an emphasis on underage drinking, marijuana, tobacco, and prescription drugs. This coalition works to increase citizen participation and commitment among all sectors of the community to reduce substance use and abuse in Ector and Midland counties.

MCAC is a Community Coalition Partnership (CCP) program of the Permian Basin Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (PBRCADA).

CARES Coalition

The CARES Coalition is Community Action and Resources for Empowerment and Success Coalition. The mission of the Concho Valley CARES Coalition is to reduce substance misuse through community effort, focusing on youth. The population served by the CARES Coalition includes adolescents, young adults ages 18-25 in colleges and universities, and the general community in the Concho Valley. 

CARES is a Community Coalition Partnership (CCP) program of ADACCV.

Impact Youth - Midland & Odessa

 The mission of the Youth Prevention (YP) program is to educate and reduce the onset of alcohol, tobacco and other drug use in youth. Using an evidenced-based curriculum, trained prevention staff teach prevention programs in school settings. Our goal is to foster the development of social and physical environments which promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles. YP Indicated is offered in Midland County; YP Universal is offered in Ector County. Both are programs of the Permian Basin Regional Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (PBRCADA).

Youth Prevention San Angelo

The mission of the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley’s (ADACCV) Prevention Team is to engage, educate and empower to create healthier communities. The ADACCV Prevention Program serves youth Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, parents, grandparents, guardians and siblings of youth participants, and community members in the Concho Valley. ADACCV has YP Selected, YP Indicated, and YP Universal programs.
